Did you know that almost half of our clients also are struggling hard with a co-occurring mental health disorder? It’s true, as demonstrated by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Even more problematic is the fact that many of these clients are not even aware that they are struggling with a co-occurring mental health disorder. Fortunately, at our addiction recovery center, we screen every one of our clients in order to determine whether or not they are dealing with a co-occurring mental health disorder. When we discover a client is struggling with a co-occurring disorder, we apply dual diagnosis mental health treatment.
