Medication Management
The right medication, taken at the right dose, can steady the ground under someone in early recovery. At Skilton Institute, medication management is one of the core tools our clinicians use to build your treatment plan, adjusting as you or your loved one moves forward and responds to care.
How Medication Management Works in Treatment
A medication management session usually lasts about half an hour and centers on a single question: is this working the way it should? A licensed clinician reviews how you or your loved one has been feeling, checks for side effects, and adjusts doses when the situation calls for it.
For many people in recovery, the right prescription steadies cravings, eases depression or anxiety, and makes therapy easier to absorb. Medication is never the whole plan, though. It works alongside counseling and other care, and our clinicians revisit it as progress changes what you need.
