Veterans & First Responders Program
The uniform comes off, but what you carried in it often stays. At the Skilton Institute, veterans and first responders find trauma-informed care built for people trained to run toward danger. If you or someone you love is ready for help, we treat both the addiction and the experiences underneath it.
Built for Those Who Serve
The habits that keep you alive on shift can make it hard to ask for help off it. Firefighters, police officers, medics, and service members carry a specific kind of weight, and treatment at Skilton Institute is built to account for that. We use trauma-focused therapies including EMDR, and group work is grouped with peers who speak the same language. Admissions stay confidential. For veterans, we coordinate with VA benefits where they apply, so your care and your loved one's questions both get straight answers.
Help Is One Call Away
The person who answers at (503) 765-8992 is on the admissions team, and the phones are staffed around the clock. The call is free and confidential. Ask what you need to ask. We can check your insurance quickly, so you or your loved one know where things stand. No pressure to decide today. You can also reach us here.
